TIB presents prototype for sustainable research data management

The TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology has developed a prototype, the `TIB Data Manager`, which ensures effective research data management. The TIB created the open source application based on the web-based data catalogue software CKAN (Comprehensive Knowledge Archive Network).
The `TIB Data Manager` is a data management system that supports and improves the administration and access to heterogeneous research data publications. In addition, it enables the visualization of different formats of research data, which makes it easier for researchers to select relevant data sets for their respective discipline.
