The euroCRIS Strategic Membership Meeting will be held from 8-10 November 2016 in Athens.

Strategic Membership Meetings may be regarded as a combination of a Strategic Seminar and a regular Membership Meeting. During this meeting the accent is on discussion and exchange of ideas with both our Strategic Partners and Members.

The goal of the event is not only the exchange of information and ideas but more so, the exploration of possible concrete joint actions and projects towards the realisation of an improvement of the research information landscape, based on international standards. Of course, from the point of view of euroCRIS, the role CRIS and, in particular, CERIF can (and should) play in this respect will be a major focus of attention.

The central theme for the 2016 Strategic Membership Meeting is:

With special attention for: The road to a European Research Information Infrastructure.
We may be farther along this road than we realize (if we jointly grasp the present opportunities). What can be learned from ongoing initiatives and collaborations within and outside of Europe?
